Who we are
This notice explains how Tankroo handles personal information on this website, tankroo.com. To ask about it, or about your personal information, email privacy@tankroo.com.
No tracking
This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and your browser makes no requests to other companies' servers. Fonts and images are served from tankroo.com.
Cookies
Information pages set no cookies. The account-deletion form, the password-reset page and the pages that open from links in our emails set two strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie and a security token that protects forms. They expire after 120 minutes of inactivity. While they’re active, our server keeps a session record that includes your IP address and browser details.
Server logs
Our web server records each request: your IP address, your browser, the page address without its query string and without any one-time link code, the result, the size of the response, the address of the page you came from (shortened the same way), and the time. We keep these logs for 14 days for security and troubleshooting.
The account-deletion form
If you use the account-deletion form, we use the email address you enter, and the reason if you choose one, only to verify and process your request. A request that is never confirmed is deleted within 90 days. A confirmed request is kept, with the record of how we handled it, for 7 years as evidence that we met our legal obligations.
Service providers and overseas disclosure
These service providers handle personal information for us, outside Australia:
- Our web server, which also stores account-deletion requests, is in a data centre in the United States.
- Resend (Resend, Inc., United States) sends our emails, including the deletion confirmation, from its Ireland region, and stores them in the United States for 30 days.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States) runs our domain's DNS and forwards mail sent to our @tankroo.com addresses (Email Routing).
- Google (Google LLC, United States) hosts the Gmail mailbox where those messages are read. Our replies are sent through Resend.
Emailing us
Emails to support@tankroo.com, contact@tankroo.com and privacy@tankroo.com are forwarded by Cloudflare to that Gmail mailbox, and we use them only to answer you.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, email privacy@tankroo.com first. If we don't resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
