Where do the prices come from?
From the official fuel price reporting schemes run by Australia's states and territories, where servos are required to report their prices. Every price in Tankroo shows when it was last updated. Each source and the attribution it requires is listed in Data sources & attribution.
Why is the pump price different?
Prices can change between updates, and reported prices don't include shopper dockets, loyalty or membership discounts. If a price looks wrong, report it from the servo's page in the app and we'll check it against the latest report.
What do the pin colours mean?
Servos inside your radius are ranked by price for your fuel: teal is the cheapest third, amber the middle and red the priciest. The star marks the single cheapest, and white pins sit just outside your radius.
Do I need an account?
No. Browse the map, filters and servo details as a guest. Create an account when you want to save favourites, set price alerts and add your car.
How do price alerts work?
Turn on the alerts you want, ring the bell on your favourite servos or set a target price. We check new prices as they come in and send a notification when one matters to you. Only a few a day at most, and never during your quiet hours.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile, then Privacy & data, then Delete my account. Don't have the app any more? Request deletion on the web.
